Elephant Art Auction
& Exhibition
|
|
|
Felissimo Design House hosted a
silent auction of elephant art in order to raise funds
for The Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project
(AEACP), a non-profit organization dedicated to saving
the diminishing number of Asian elephants left on our
planet through its work with domesticated elephants. The
auction raised funds for AEACP's latest project, the
Surin Institute of Elephant Art located in northeastern
Thailand, near the village of Surin. For more

Material - Han Feng

accessories by Han Feng.

Madalyn Aslan Book
Signing

Madalyn Aslan is the author of
"Madalyn Aslan's Jupiter Signs" (Viking Studio September
2003) and the first astrology book for children "What's
Your Sign?" (Penguin May 2002). She is the only palmist
of 10,000 notable Americans in 2004 "Who's Who in
America," and the only medium to have had her readings
auctioned at Christie's. Her first recorded reading was
for Rock Hudson when she was twelve years old and acted
in NBC's "The Martian Chronicles" with Mr. Hudson. She
has predicted over 100 celebrity events for the New York
Post and published columns in ELLE, Cosmopolitan,
Seventeen, Child, and (London) Daily Mirror. Author of
CosmoGIRL Backpack Astrologer 2001-2002 (which sold
600,000 copies in 2001), she also appears frequently on
international radio and television, most recently on BBC
2 and NBC.

The Spirit of
Giving: Japanese Traditions

JaponNea Design Group (JDG)
presented three traditional Japanese textile courses;
each combined a lecture, workshop and exhibition element
at Felissimo Design House.
JDG also hosted a
trade show exclusively for buyers and an exhibition of
its members' designs for the public.
Those
who participated in the textile workshops had an
opportunity to exhibit their creations on the fifth
floor from October 2-18.

Concert Sampler
|
|
Fun, fun, and more fun! The
September Concert Sampler gave a chance to get a
taste of the September Concert and give them a little
helping hand.
Felissimo featured additional
sampler concerts on the following Mondays and Thursdays:
August 14, 18, 25 and 28, between 5 and 6 pm. Felissimo
also hosted a concert on September 11th as part of The
September Concert.
